Hi all,
The heat wave seems to have broken, ( in New York, anyway ) so it seems like a good time for a mid summer revival of the webinar.
"Sue's power point presentation is an inspirational tool for someone who aspires to write, but just can’t get going." - Henriette Mantel, Emmy Award winning writer, actress, producer, director, stand up comic
After various private requests to attend the webinar at different times of the week, I have decided to arrange to do the webinar both this coming Monday and Tuesday evenings. That is:
Monday, July 29th from 7 to 8:30 pm EST
AND
Tuesday, July 30th from 7:30 to 9 pm EST
( The webinar is a one time class, this is not a continuation. You are welcome to attend either of the sessions and will receive the same information in either one.)
This will give everyone a chance to attend in the after work, weekday day hours that seem to be the most popular so far.
If you would like to attend, please click on the Paypal button below, to sign up and pay the $55 fee.
Right after that, you will be sent an invitation/link to the join.me page where the webinar will be held. ( Please just email me at: suebachner@gmail.com and let me know which evening you want to join us, so I can keep track.)
Looking forward to helping you get started on your writing dreams!
Best,
Sue
P.S. I have recently done some private phone consultations with students which went very well. If you are interested in a private consultation, please get in touch with me here, or at my email:
suebachner@gmail.com

The next webinar is coming soon! I am hearing from several new students who were referred to me by happy previous students. So stay tuned, and get in touch if you're interested, please. I'm just trying to choose a new day and time that's best for everyone!
"Sue Bachner's writing webinar was excellent. Great, useful, information for writers on all levels. I definitely recommend it."

"I found Sue Bachner's webinar "Not Later, Write
Now!" super helpful. She offered terrific advice on blocking distractions, committing
to a schedule, and really interesting information about our tricky brains. It was definitely worth
the time, and I've been applying Sue's advice with good results
since the webinar!"

"I highly recommend the webinar "Not Later, Write
Now!" I was procrastinating with one of my writing projects and the
afternoon spent with Sue Bachner's interactive webinar, was the perfect
solution to get me back on track with my writing.
Sue Bachner, a writer herself, understands how easily we
writers get distracted. She offers comprehensive tips and activities that one
can start applying right away to get focused and block out distractions. After
taking her webinar, I was able to apply her advice toward writing my screenplay
and wrote three days in a row because of it."

Hey all,
A bit of short notice, but I have a couple of people for whom weeknights are better, so I am going to do the webinar this coming Tuesday evening, 4/30 7 pm to 8:30 pm EST.
Here are some reviews from students from the last webinar:
For more details about the webinar, see the first post below. To sign up, just scroll all the way down to the bottom of that post to the Paypal button, which will take you directly to my Paypal page for the $49. After that, you will be sent the join.me link for the webinar, and the phone number for the conference call ( which you can either call with your phone, or directly through your computer.)
Looking forward to seeing you there for another great webinar!

Many thanks to all who attended our first webinar yesterday!
I think a great time was had by all and it appears that a lot of learning was accomplished on the part of the students. I got some great insights from my students, too. I'm hoping to have some student reviews about the class soon, so stay tuned.
Time for a little poll: I have a group of 4 or 5 people I think who told me that they wanted to attend the seminar yesterday, but that Sundays are bad for them because of work or other obligations.
If you're interested in doing the next seminar, could you please let me know generally when would be the best time for you to attend? ( The webinar takes about an hour and a half total.) Early or late weekday evenings? Weekend days? Weekend evenings?
(I'm in New York, so if you're not in EST let me know that too, please.) Be as specific as you like, and I'll collate your info and try to schedule the next one at a time when the most people would be available.
You can either comment here on the blog, or you're welcome to email me at: suebachner@gmail.com
Looking forward to hearing from you and looking forward to the next webinar!

NOT LATER, WRITE
NOW!
HOW TO CONCENTRATE
AND WRITE, EVEN WHEN EVERYTHING AROUND YOU WON’T SHUT UP
Developed and Taught
By Susan Bachner
It’s a common 21ST
century complaint. You’re dying to start writing your novel, your screenplay,
your “Tribute to Condiments Around the World” blog. But you can’t. When you’re at work, you have
to be at work.
When you’re at home; there are roommates, spouses, relatives. They’re talking, walking around, watching TV, breathing too loud.
When you’re at home; there are roommates, spouses, relatives. They’re talking, walking around, watching TV, breathing too loud.
You’ve tried sitting in Starbucks but there are people
talking, doors opening and closing, and loud coffee machines whirring. You try to listen to music to drown out the world. But that just
distracts you, too.
And wherever you are, there are always people texting you, emailing you, face booking you, calling you. How can you avoid them? So you find yourself putting off your writing for yet another day.
And wherever you are, there are always people texting you, emailing you, face booking you, calling you. How can you avoid them? So you find yourself putting off your writing for yet another day.
Yes, there are places that charge you money to rent a little
cubicle where everyone agrees to be quiet, but that’s expensive. Plus you’re
taking the time to travel someplace else, when you have a perfectly good desk
waiting for you at home. It seems like nothing works and time is slipping
away while your work remains unwritten.
There is an answer: NOT LATER, WRITE NOW!: HOW TO
CONCENTRATE AND WRITE, EVEN WHEN EVERYTHING AROUND YOU WON’T SHUT UP.
You'll learn strategies to :
* Stop procrastination before it starts
* Concentrate in all kinds of circumstances, even bad ones
* Learn concentration exercises specifically for writing
* Stop sabotaging yourself, wasting time bouncing around different project ideas, and find that one idea you're "into"
* Capitalize on your own enthusiasm
* Make the best use of your free time and physical energy
* During the class create a custom schedule for writing that will make it easy to stick to.
Susan Bachner knows the secrets to concentrating and writing in not ideal conditions, and has the results to show for it. She has previously helped private clients learn to concentrate better and fulfill their writing dreams, and is now is opening these possibilities up to even more writers with this class.
A former Senior Editor at McGraw Hill (where she once had
to concentrate on her work while a nearby
coworker continually slurped coffee for hours on end ), published author, and
screenwriter with representation in Hollywood, she has put together
strategies for developing an inner world of peace and concentration anywhere and
anytime.
This class will be held as a live interactive webinar on
Sunday, April 21st 4 pm to 5:30 pm Eastern Standard Time. The fee is $49, which
can be paid by Pay Pal. Scroll down to the bottom of this screen and click on the Pay Pal button which will take you to the payment page.
After payment, you'll be sent the link for https://join.me/ URL to join the webinar on Sunday.
Please have handy a notebook to take notes in, and a small datebook ( even if you usually keep track of your
schedule in your phone or computer, it will be good to have a physical datebook
to write in for the purpose of forming your writing schedule.)
There will be a subsequent optional follow up workshop to go over how
the techniques have worked for you during the week and to go over additional
questions, the following Sunday, April 28th for an additional
fee of $15.
If you have any questions please contact me at: suebachner@gmail.com
Looking forward to helping you get on the road to writing what you want, whenever you want.
